Do you offer a free trial?
We currently offer two week's free trial when you first sign up. At the end of the trial, you can choose to subscribe (via PayPal) to continue, or simply let it lapse to stop.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes of course, you can cancel your subscription at any time. There are no contracts, no penalty clauses, no fine print and no hidden charges.
Do I have to have an eBay store?
Yes if you want to track competitors against YOUR items.
Do you require or store my eBay password?
No, the security and privacy of our customers are important to us.
We do not store or even ask for any of your passwords external to StreetPricer. We access your items using eBay's API and what we need is a permission token that YOU grant and you log in directly to eBay for that.

Setup
What's involved in the setup?
A typical setup involves a sync to pull down your Active Items from eBay. By default, our Radar Scan will start looking for potential competitors. All other setup is just configuring the rules on how you want to scan, reprice and update.
We also provide a Setup Wizard that helps you along the way in a neat check list format. We also provide any onboarding needs for new subscribers.

I don't use SKUs. Is that a problem?
Having SKUs make it easier to manage your items here, rather than purely relying on titles (which often change) or a long list of numbers like the Item IDs. StreetPricer pulls these SKUs (Custom Labels) from your items on eBay IF you have them. If not, we generate an in-system SKU purely for ease of use.
I change my Titles often. Is that a problem?
You can change your titles as often as you want. StreetPricer just picks up the changes from eBay everytime it syncs. Some sellers not only change the title but change to a completely different product. This could affect the monitoring of the original competing items.
What if I add a new listing?
StreetPricer will pick up any new listings during its next sync.
Do you have technical support?
I don't use Neto or Magento. I have my own system developed by my IT guy, can I still use StreetPricer?
StreetPricer works regardless of the ecommerce software you use. It only uses data from eBay. The only difference is the method of update for the repricing. StreetPricer can FTP or email you a CSV file of the reprices if you use your own systems.
Can you handle eBay multi variations?
In short, yes.
We are able to breakdown your own listings to variation items. Each can have its own set of competitors. We are also able to scan for a competitor's multi variations. This way you can have one of your main listings or variation matched against their individual variations.

Scanning
How does StreetPricer scan for competitors?
For each active listing, we scan eBay based on keyword search parameters. These can be defined by you or formulated by our Radar Scan. We also use your item's ItemSpecifics (like MPN, ISBN, SKU) to directly match others on eBay.
Is setting and defining the keyword search parameters time consuming?
Yes, it can be. To make the process quicker, ItemSpecifics Scan, gets the scanning process started early while you prepare and define your own keyword search parameters.
How accurate is your Radar Scan?
We have found that it can be very very good in certain industries but be quite noisy in others. Generally items that are branded products, genuine parts and parts which have specific model numbers give us very good results. If your item title is "iPhone case", the results will blow up our computer .. kidding.
What are New, Refurbished and Used items on eBay?
eBay defines New, Refurbished and Used items in the following table.
We map them as:
New = [1000, 1500];

Used = [3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000];

Refurbished = [2000, 2500];

1500 | New other | A brand-new new, unused item with no signs of wear. Packaging may be missing or opened. The item may be a factory second or have defects. |
2000 | Manufacturer refurbished | An item in excellent condition that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer or manufacturer-approved vendor. The item may or may not be in the original packaging. |
2500 | Seller refurbished | An item that has been restored to working order by the eBay seller or a third party who is not approved by the manufacturer. This means the seller indicates that the item is in full working order and is in excellent condition. The item may or may not be in original packaging. |
3000 | Used | An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. Most categories support this condition (as long as condition is an applicable concept). |
4000 | Very Good | An item that is used but still in very good condition. No obvious damage to the cover or jewel case. No missing or damaged pages or liner notes. The instructions (if applicable) are included in the box. May have very minimal identifying marks on the inside cover. Very minimal wear and tear. |
5000 | Good | An item in used but good condition. May have minor external damage including scuffs, scratches, or cracks but no holes or tears. For books, liner notes, or instructions, the majority of pages have minimal damage or markings and no missing pages. |
6000 | Acceptable | An item with obvious or significant wear, but still operational. For books, liner notes, or instructions, the item may have some damage to the cover but the integrity is still intact. Instructions and/or box may be missing. For books, possible writing in margins, etc., but no missing pages or anything that would compromise the legibility or understanding of the text. |
7000 | For parts or not working | An item that does not function as intended and is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. Supported in categories where parts or non-working items are of interest to people who repair or collect related items. |
Repricing
How does StreetPricer ensure I don't sell below cost?
StreetPricer lets you set the lowest price you are prepared to sell at. We don't ask for, nor make assumptions about what your cost of goods are. Simply tell us what this "Floor Price" is and we'll ensure we never go below that in any reprice calculations.
What are Floor Prices?
Floor Prices are what you set as the lowest prices you are willing to go. StreetPricer obeys this limit and will not go below it in its reprice calculations.
Typically most sellers send us floor prices that will already have incorporated COG, eBay and PayPal fees, Handling and Shipping costs plus any profit margins they minimally want to make.

How does the AutoFloor tool calculate floor price?
The AutoFloor tool allows a formula using both a dollar value and percentage value. This formula is applied to each of your items' current selling price on eBay.
The formula applies the same as normal math procedures i.e. $x + y% of current price z.
e.g. For a $100 item
IF only percentage was used:
$0 + 10% of $100 = $10. Floor Price would be set at $100 - $10 = $90.00
IF only dollar was used:
$3 + 0% of $100 = $3. Floor Price would be set at $100 - $3 = $97.00
IF both dollar and percentage was used:
$3 + (10% of $100) = $13. Floor Price would be set at $100 - $13 = $87.00

How often does StreetPricer adjust my prices?
By default StreetPricer does its repricing calculations every 24 hours. This is user-configurable to as low as every 8 hours.
There is a special case for items on your Hot List. Each plan is allowed a specific number of Hot List items. Items on your Hot List are repriced every 4-6 hours.

What are Autoprice rules?
AutoPrice rules allow you to configure how you want to reprice, whether its higher, at, or lower than your lowest competitor. It also lets you set parameters for if your competitors' items are located overseas, local, have handling days which are long, and what quantities they have. You can have more than one set of rules and apply them default across your items or use a different rule for some of your special items.
Do I HAVE to let StreetPricer automatically adjust my prices?
No you do not, StreetPricer will never be like HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey. You can CHOOSE to let StreetPricer update eBay directly or feed your system a CSV of recommended price adjustments or simply send you an email with its recommendations.
When StreetPricer updates prices on eBay, can it update prices on my own web site as well?
Currently you can choose for StreetPricer to update eBay directly OR update your ecommerce software.
Can I have different pricing between eBay and my own web site?
This capability depends on your ecommerce software. If it can update different prices to eBay and your own web site, then yes.
I use the Rate Table for shipping. How does StreetPricer calculate shipping?
StreetPricer does not calculate shipping. It reads in the published shipping costs and calculates the total price a buyer would pay, for comparisons against competitors that may have shipping or those with free shipping.
